Job Description As a Security Officer Driver Entry Control in Columbus, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location where you will manage access control, monitor assigned areas, and conduct routine patrols to help support a secure environment. This is a driving post. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.37 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeThu07:00 AM - 03:00 PMFri07:00 AM - 05:00 PMSat07:00 AM - 03:00 PMSun07:00 AM - 03:00 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, and document visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity in accordance with access control protocols. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and report security‑related concerns to site leadership and/or emergency contacts as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols around operational areas, administrative spaces, and perimeter locations to help identify unauthorized activity and unusual conditions. Support security‑related operations within a chemical and petrochemical location by communicating clearly with personnel, following post orders, and maintaining accurate activity logs and incident reports. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located. Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client. Be at least 21 years of age. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
