Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant - New London, CT Our client, a nonprofit organization, is seeking a Senior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and account reconciliation activities. This role requires a self-directed professional who can manage priorities independently, improve processes, and help maintain accurate financial records in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Perform general accounting and month-end close activities. Prepare and review account reconciliations and financial reports. Maintain accurate financial records and support compliance requirements. Identify opportunities to improve processes, automation, and operational efficiency. Assist with reporting, analysis, and other accounting-related projects. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support financial operations. Qualifications 3+ years of accounting experience; Senior Accountant experience preferred. Nonprofit accounting experience required; higher education experience preferred. Experience with AI-enabled tools and technology platforms preferred. Public accounting or bookkeeping experience is a plus.
