Role Description The Assistant Manager role at Signet Jewelers is a full-time, on-site position based in East Rutherford, NJ. This role supports daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, visual merchandising, and adherence to company policies and standards. The Assistant Manager helps lead and coach the sales team, drives exceptional customer service, and contributes to achieving sales and performance goals. This position assists with training team members, managing schedules, and promoting a positive, inclusive work environment. The Assistant Manager also partners with store leadership to analyze store performance, implement company initiatives, and ensure compliance with operational and safety guidelines. Qualifications Experience in retail or customer-facing roles, with strong customer service and relationship-building skills. Background in sales, with the ability to meet or exceed targets and support team members in achieving goals. Basic leadership and team management capabilities, including coaching, delegation, and conflict resolution. Operational skills such as inventory handling, cash management, and adherence to store procedures. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse customers and colleagues. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Comfort with using point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications; willingness to learn new technologies. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
