Lead Teller

Position Overview Lead Teller – Retail Banking, Libertyville, IL. Full-time, in‑office at the Libertyville Branch. The role focuses on delivering outstanding customer service and fostering a collaborative branch culture. Responsibilities Coach, mentor, and lead tellers to enforce excellent customer service and accurate transaction handling. Process a variety of customer interactions, ensuring compliance with PNC policies and procedures. Educate customers on alternatives and options for managing their financial transactions, leveraging technology, tools, and resources. Identify banking opportunities during interactions and refer to appropriate branch staff. Perform lobby engagement activities to connect with customers and promote PNC products. Assist the Branch Manager with performance management, new‑hire selection, and training initiatives. Ensure teller and branch daily operations and maintenance transactions are completed efficiently and accurately. Demonstrate sound judgment and risk management, adhering to the Enterprise Risk Management Framework. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; university degree not required. At least 1 year of related teller or retail banking experience. Strong customer‑focus, communication, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills. Knowledge of banking products, transaction processing, and PNC risk and compliance standards. Ability to coach and mentor others and manage multiple priorities. Proficiency with technology platforms used for teller transactions. Commitment to continuous improvement and a collaborative branch environment.
