About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Neuro ICU License: Valid RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC (preferred) Must-Have: Must have Neuro experience with at least 1 year in Neuro ICU Description: Locals accepted within a 50-mile travel requirement. Local candidates will be accepted at a lower billing rate. California RN license and certifications must be in hand to submit. Weekend requirement: Every other weekend. Patient ratios are 1:2. Charting system experience required: Epic. May float to other departments. Staffing and scheduling details include patient ratios of 2 for days and nights. Two weekend shifts per month are required. Pre-approved time off may be limited. Daily census in the unit ranges between 18 to 22 patients. The unit consists of 24 beds. Interdisciplinary support includes teams for various specialties. Primary service lines include trauma ICU and neuro/stroke care. Post-procedural patients require frequent neuro checks. The unit operates efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Special equipment includes EVD management and cooling protocols. Compliance checks include work history verification for the past 7 years. Candidates must provide accurate work history information. All compliance documents are due 10 days prior to the start of the contract. Modules must be completed during orientation and vary by specialty.
