Our differentiated battle management and cyber solutions deliver timely, mission-enabling information and provide superior situational awareness and understanding to protect the U.S. and its global allies.Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our Baltimore Logistics Center as a Manufacturing Operations Manager 2 based out of Curtis Bay, MD.What you’ll get to do:Lead and develop a team responsible for inventory management and material control within the Baltimore Logistics Center warehouseOwn the execution and continuous improvement of the cycle counting program, including planning, scheduling, and reconciliation of discrepanciesEnsure strict adherence to MMAS (Material Management and Accounting System) standards, internal controls, and documented proceduresMonitor inventory accuracy, on-hand balances, and adjustments; drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for count and transaction discrepanciesPartner closely with Manufacturing, Planning, Quality, and Finance to ensure accurate material availability, timely issue/return transactions, and compliance to audit requirementsDevelop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for inventory accuracy, cycle count performance, and transactional integrity; regularly report status and drive improvement actionsChampion process standardization, documentation, and training across the team to maintain a compliant and efficient warehouse operationSupport internal and external audits, providing objective evidence of MMAS compliance and effective inventory control practicesBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of combined experience in warehouse operations, supply chain, logistics, or inventory management; a Master’s degree and 6 years of combined experience in warehouse operations, supply chain, logistics, or inventory management; High school diploma/GED and 12 years of combined experience in warehouse operations, supply chain, logistics, or inventory management may be considered in lieu of degree requirementExperience Leading (supervisor, team lead, or manager) in a fast-paced environment in warehouse, supply chain, or inventory control and driving root-cause analysis and corrective actions for inventory discrepanciesExperience working with inventory management in a distribution environment (material control, transactions, inventory accuracy, or cycle counting)Experience using MMAS (Material Management and Accounting Systems) requirements, internal controls, or similar compliant material control environmentsExperience using ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Costpoint, Oracle, or equivalent) to execute material or inventory transactionsExperience using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for analysis and reportingAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security ClearanceU.S. Citizenship requiredPreferred Qualifications:Active/Current U.S. Government Secret Security ClearancePrior experience as a manager/supervisor in an aerospace, defense, or other regulated environmentIn-depth working knowledge of DFARS or other government audit expectations, and associated internal control frameworksExperience implementing or managing a cycle count program, including schedule design, performance tracking, and reconciliationDemonstrated success in driving inventory accuracy improvements and reducing transaction errors through process changes, training, or system enhancementsExperience with Lean / Six Sigma tools (5S, standard work, value stream mapping, root cause/corrective action), with Green Belt or equivalentStrong analytical skills, including experience developing and managing KPIs/metrics for inventory accuracy, cycle counts, or warehouse performanceExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of partnering with Manufacturing, Planning, Quality, Finance, and ComplianceNorthrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment which encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
