Overview We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg Tele travel nursing job in Madison, Wisconsin. Job Details Specialty: Med/Surg Tele RN Setting: Acute care inpatient hospital Type: Travel Registered Nurse contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours Per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250 Weekend Rotation: Two weekends per six-week schedule period, with additional weekends possible based on preference Floating: Required as needed Orientation: 20 hours Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics Location: Madison, WI 53718 Job Requirements Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience within the last 3 years in the specialty Previous telemetry nursing experience required Epic charting experience required Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license required Current BLS certification through AHA only Prior travel RN experience required Ability to pass a telemetry exam prior to start Comfortable with weekend and holiday rotation based on operational need Must be able to float to other units as needed Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a Med/Surg Tele unit Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to changes in patient condition Administer medications and support common acute care interventions Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes Document accurately and efficiently in Epic while maintaining timely charting standards Care for patients with a variety of medical-surgical and telemetry needs Adapt to floating assignments and contribute to unit coverage as needed Maintain professionalism, strong communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital environment Apply now to join this rewarding Madison, WI nursing job and take the next step in your travel RN career!
