Platform Enablement Application Engineer

Salary: $120,000 - 148,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for someone with 4+ years of experience in a Business Analyst or Developer role, with exposure to building and implementing AI-based solutions preferred.
• We need proficiency in programming languages such as Java or Python, along with strong SQL and database knowledge.
• We expect familiarity with machine learning models, including large language models (LLMs) and other neural networks.
• We value experience with NLP techniques and tools such as sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, and topic modeling.
• Experience with cloud-based machine learning platforms, such as Azure Machine Learning, is a plus.
• We look for hands-on experience with Agile ways of working, including backlogs, sprints, and retrospectives.
• We are interested in candidates with an interest in the investment management industry and investment products.
• Familiarity with Robotic Process Automation (RPA), such as Blue Prism, is desirable.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Splunk, Tableau, or Power BI is desirable.
• We require the ability to manage projects from inception through completion, delivering on time and within estimates.
• We need someone who can identify process risks or gaps and implement technical solutions to address them.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are essential for explaining complex ideas clearly.
• We are looking for a deep understanding of business processes, goals, and objectives.
• We expect you to stay current with the latest developments in LLMs and machine learning and spot opportunities to apply them to business processes.
• Program eligibility includes a minimum of 2 years of active uniformed service and a bachelors degree obtained before or after military service.
• The role is open to all U.S. veterans, regardless of rank or branch of service.
• You must be able to start employment in October 2026.

We are BlackRock, and this role sits within our Technology & Development Operations team in Platform & Ecosystem Engineering, part of our Platform Enablement organization. Our team works at the intersection of business process, technology, and delivery, partnering closely with operational teams and Aladdin Engineering to solve workflow challenges, build practical tools and automations, and improve scale, resilience, and efficiency across core operating platforms. This Veterans Transition Program role is a six-month opportunity designed to support veterans as they move into civilian careers, with the possibility of permanent employment upon successful completion.
