Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) is recruiting for B Repairman - Light Rail Car. The B Repairman engages in all aspects of major/minor inspections as well as preventative and corrective maintenance on rail vehicles and all its sub-components. Makes repairs to main/auxiliary propulsion and associated systems, couplers, brake system, air compressor, door controls, heating ventilating and cooling systems, traction motors, rewiring and overhauling of electrical system. Must be able to operate service equipment (trucks, forklifts, shop carts, and 20-ton cranes and hoists) and will perform various other duties associated with the Rail Car Maintenance Group when necessary. The current vacancy is located at the Transit Administration (MTA) in Baltimore, Maryland. The current work schedule varies on a 24-hour shift.
