About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVPICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years in pediatric CVICU License: Current RN License in California Certifications: BLS, AHA BLS, PALS, ACLS (preferred) Must-Have: - Experience in pediatric cardiac intensive care unit - Skills in various clinical procedures and patient care management Description: This position requires a registered nurse with a pediatric CVICU specialty. Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in pediatric CVICU. The shift includes both days and nights, working 12-hour shifts. BLS and PALS certifications are mandatory, with ACLS preferred. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in various nursing skills, especially those related to ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and care of ventilated patients. Experience with ECMO and pediatric congenital heart disease is advantageous. Registered nurses will be expected to provide care to patients of various age groups, including infants and children. Knowledge of Epic charting is preferred. An interdisciplinary team environment will support care delivery. Flexibility with weekend coverage and floating to other units may be required. Candidates should be prepared to manage patient ratios of 2:1.
