Equipment Operator II, DPW Highway
Town of Barnstable
Department: Department of Public Works-Highway Division Skilled manual work in the operation of specialized and heavy equipment and other public works vehicles and in performing construction and maintenance activities; all other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma and three years of experience in public works construction and maintenance activities including the operation of heavy equipment; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Massachusetts CDL Class A Unrestricted drivers license with air brake and tanker endorsements. Massachusetts Hydraulic Hoisting 2A and 1C license required. Massachusetts Class 4G Hoisting License preferred. Additional Qualifications Working knowledge of preventative maintenance techniques. Ability to perform heavy manual labor under varying weather conditions. Demonstrated skill in operating and maintaining all types of special and heavy equipment and trucks.
