  • Unit Name: 3rd, Neuro Med/Surg
  • Number of Beds: 20
  • Patient Ratios: 6:1
  • Tech Support: Available on both day and night shifts
  • Unit Secretary: 7 AM - 7 PM

  • Continuous Pulse Ox Machines
  • Feeding Pumps

  • EKG Machines
  • Bladder Scanner

Documentation System

Meditech

Scheduling Requirements
  • 3 shifts per week (12 hours each)
  • 2 weekends (4 shifts) within a 4-week schedule
Floating Policy

Contract labor will be the first to float; rotation will be followed when multiple contract labor staff are scheduled.

Patient Experience Requirements

Attentive and compassionate care is expected for both patients and their family members. The role involves bedside shift reporting and the ability to establish personal connections with patients while including them and their families in their care plans.

Certifications
  • Comprehensive Stroke Certification
  • ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center
  • Certified Chest Pain Center
Skills and Qualifications
  • Required:

    • Active RN License
    • BLS Certification
  • Requested Skills:

    • Med/Surg Experience
    • Ability to prioritize care and multitask
    • Start IVs
    • Basic wound care
    • Maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes

Dress Code

Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms)
