Title: Industrial Mechanic (3rd Shift)

Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 / hr + 2$ Shift Differential

Shift: 3rd Shift (Mon–Fri, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Location: Kansas City, MO

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We are searching for a permanent Industrial Mechanic for our 3rd shift plastics manufacturing operations. This role focuses on mechanical/electrical repairs, preventative maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting—specifically for Blow Mold Plastics manufacturing equipment—as well as general facility upkeep.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain blow molding machinery, hydraulic systems, pneumatics, and electrical components.

• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) to maximize machine uptime.

• Diagnose technical and mechanical issues quickly under fast-paced production pressure.

• Perform basic building, plumbing, carpentry, and grounds maintenance as needed.

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Equipment: Direct experience with Blow Mold Plastics manufacturing equipment is required.

• Skills: Solid multi-craft skills (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, fabrication).

• Tools: Must own basic personal tools. 

• Blueprints: Proficient in reading blueprints and electrical schematics.

• Work Ethic: Highly organized, dependable and solid communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs on Blow Mold plastics manufacturing equipment and auxiliary machines.

• Preventative Maintenance (PM): Execute scheduled PM tasks on production machinery to minimize downtime and prolong equipment life.

• Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and technical issues quickly and accurately under fast-paced production conditions.

• Facilities & Grounds Maintenance: Perform general building repair and facility maintenance (carpentry, basic plumbing, and exterior grounds) as assigned.

• Schematics & Blueprints: Read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings to perform precise repairs.

• Task Management: Work independently to carry tasks from diagnosis through completion, maintaining clean and organized work areas.
