Specialist, New Equipment Project Management

Otis Elevator Company is searching for a highly motivated New Equipment Project Manager to oversee coordination of activities on multiple new installation projects. The New Equipment Project Manager will ensure efficiency, cost containment, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Ensure flawless execution of each project by completing on schedule, within budget, and meeting all technical & safety standards, regulatory compliance requirements, and customer expectations. Coordinate all contract activities from the project award stage to completion and provide progress reviews to ensure contract documents are consistent with the required scope of the project. Proactively communicate with multiple client representatives, including general contractors, owners, building managers, architects and designers, state and local authorities, and regulatory agencies concerning project design, preparations, and scheduling of installation for the equipment. Work closely with the internal sales staff, superintendents, and senior leadership to ensure a successful project from both the financial and customer perspectives. Perform customary construction process duties, including managing billing, consultant and contractor payments, processing RFIs, and optimizing change order opportunities to maximize project cash coverage. Accurately interpret construction contractual documents and contract modifications to determine the cost of such changes. Accurately analyze situations and assist in developing contingencies for estimates. Qualifications 3+ years elevator industry project management and/or construction experience desired. Familiarity with cost estimating, scheduling, and contract administration. Ability to read and review architectural and structural drawings. Team-oriented and adaptable in dynamic settings. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for developing relationships with stakeholders. Self-motivated, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient in Microsoft software within technical environments. Strong leadership, time management, and organizational skills. High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
