Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level I trauma acute care hospital, requiring 2+ years of CT experience and ARRT-CT certification.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting supporting Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, ICU, and Emergency Department patients
• Level I trauma center
• 3rd shift, 3x12 hour nights from 18:30-07:00
• Weekends as needed, no call required
• Uses Cerner charting system
• Siemens CT equipment preferred experience

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT Tech experience required
• ARRT (R), ARRT-CT, and BLS certification required
• State license required if applicable
• Experience in Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, ICU, Emergency Department, and Level I Trauma settings required
• Skilled in Abdomen and Pelvis CT with and/or without contrast
• Skilled in Chest CT and Vascular Chest CT (PE, CTA, aorta) with and/or without contrast
• Skilled in Head and Neck CT including carotid, sinuses, soft tissue neck, and trauma head
• Skilled in Spine and Musculoskeletal CT including cervical, lumbar, thoracic, and MSK trauma
• Experience with Coronary CTA required
• Proficient in 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), and ROI measurement
• Skilled in isolation precautions/PPE, contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
• Floating is required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
• Previous permanent or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a travelers
• Candidates must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
• Time off requests should be discussed with the facility manager
• Scrubs may be any solid color
• Magnet-designated facility
• 562 staffed beds
