Maintenance Mechanic - Direct

Maintenance Mechanic

Provide general oversight and responsibility for equipment and personnel within assigned building. The Maintenance Mechanic will strive to promote efficiency in all aspects of his/her building. Uptime, labor hours, repairs, and PM completion will be tracked and evaluated against enterprise and national benchmarks. Follows standard operating procedures. Must meet quality standards.

Skills/Experience

• Be on time
• Have excellent attendance
• Meet or exceed plant up-time goal of 98%.
• Maintain building call response time of 2 minutes or less.
• Actively patrol assigned building to proactively address equipment issues.
• Report all major issues to Chief Engineer and Production Manager. Assist with resolution.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationship between building maintenance crew and production team.
• Completion at 100%.
• Other duties as needed or assigned.
• Follow all company safety rules
• Be able to work well with a diverse workforce
• Follow all company policies and procedures
• Possess and maintain a positive attitude
• Be able to work past the schedule, as issues may arise
• This position may at times be physically demanding. Lifting and moving of objects heavier than 50lbs can be expected regularly.
• The plant environment may be quite warm during certain times of the year. Ability to walk and stand for entire shift is necessary.
