Senior Data Scientist

Sr. Data ScientistThe Sr. Data Scientist will work with biostatistics, data management, clinical development, and medical affairs team to provide data analytics and data science solution in supporting clinical development program and evidence generation activities.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesEffectively using innovative methodology and technology for data analysis in cooperation with peers across all Rigel functionsIdentify productive new technological initiatives using data science, mathematics, statistics and AI approach to clinical trial and real world dataUnderstand the clinical trial design and analysis methodology.Involved in the protocol design, statistical analysis plan, clinical study reports, publicationsKnowledge And Skill RequirementsPh.D. in Biostatistics; or closely related discipline, with two years of experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech industry setting; or equivalent combination of eComprehensive and detailed knowledge of statistical experimental design, data analysisDemonstrated proficiency with software R, SAS, Python, GitHub, and Generative AI ToolsUnderstanding of ICH, FDA guidelines;Ability to be flexible and adapt quickly to the changing needs of the organizationStrong interpersonal and effective communication (oral and written) skillsCompensation And BenefitsThe anticipated salary range for this position is National $150,000 to $180,000 and, if applicable, Premium Market (SFBA/NYC/Boston Area) $160,000 to $190,000. The actual salary offered will depend on several factors, including experience, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.This position is eligible to participate in Rigel's annual bonus program and is eligible for equity incentive awards, subject to the terms of the applicable plans.
