Accounting Specialist

This position works under the direction of the Finance Director. Responsible for all accounts payable functions. Duties & Responsibilities: Manages accounts payable; processes invoices ensuring proper account codes, and cuts checks according to internal control process. Utilizes Positive Pay on the banking website. Helps with Year End Financial audit as necessary. Helps with budget unput as necessary. Other duties as outlined by the Finance Director. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong written and verbal skills; ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, patients, licensed associates and the general public Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions Basic understanding of calculation of figures for use in payroll and accounting procedures Work Experience &/or Education: High School diploma or equivalent required, Associate degree preferred. Three years accounts payable experience highly desired. Working knowledge of accounting principles required. QuickBooks experience desired.
