Job Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient needs across different age groups, utilizing both standardized tests and observational methods.
• Create customized treatment plans that cater to short-term goals along with long-term communication, cognition, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy focused on enhancing communication abilities in language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing safety.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, healthcare providers, caregivers, and families to formulate comprehensive care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to further support their progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Provide occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy to ensure seamless continuity of care.
• Maintain thorough and prompt documentation adhering to all relevant standards and guidelines.
• Continuous professional development through education and collaboration with peers is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first month of employment.
