PRN Registered Nurse Hospital Based Testing

Job Summary and Qualifications

• Under the general direction of the Manager of Cardiology, coordinates and provides patient care and assumes individual responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care as related to the Outpatient Cardiac Testing Center. 
• Administers medications, monitors patient vital signs/EKG, performs continual patient assessment during patient’s stay in the testing center. 
• Documents accurate nursing records and patient data.
• Coordinates patient teaching and post procedure assessment. 
• Performs emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation. 
• Assists with and participates in in-service education. Collects and assembles data for data base, outcome analysis and performance improvement. 
• Coordinates the daily schedule and makes pre and post procedure calls to patients in collaboration with registrar. 
• Works collaboratively with physicians to manage care. 
• Flexible PRN Schedule: 1-4 days per week (Tuesday - Friday); 0730-1600

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate from accredited school of nursing with either an AND or BSN degree. 
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. 
• BLS required upon hire. ACLS required within 3 months of hire. 
• Minimum 1 year cardiology related experience required.
