Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Occupational Therapist Discipline: Therapy Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) The organization is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to provide inpatient occupational therapy services at their healthcare facility. The role involves assessing patients, developing and implementing care plans, and educating patients and families to promote recovery and independence in a hospital setting. Job Details Position Description: Provides occupational therapy interventions to patients per referral, including assessment, care planning, education, scheduling, documentation, and issuing adaptive equipment. Performs other duties as assigned to support department operations. Ensures age-appropriate care compatible with physician, patient, and family goals, with a focus on NICU experience. Coordinates with CCS Case Managers for referrals and post-discharge services. Required Qualifications: Masters of Occupational Therapy, California Occupational Therapy license, current BLS/Healthcare Provider status as per American Heart Association standards, minimum of 3 years occupational therapy experience including at least 1 year NICU experience, and experience working in an inpatient setting. Schedule: 8:00 am shift time, 40 hours per week, working one weekend per month. Additional Information: Must have NICU experience. Provides therapies involving fine motor skills, self-help skills, and durable medical equipment. Instructs and evaluates therapy students, assists in orientation of new employees, and regularly assumes duties of Charge Therapist. Demonstrates high-quality, safe patient care and maintains departmental objectives.
