A globally prominent and rapidly growing manufacturing organization is seeking to hire an Environmental Engineer to support environmental, health, and safety programs within a complex, high-growth manufacturing environment. This role will serve as a key member of the site EHS team, with a strong emphasis on environmental compliance, permitting, reporting, wastewater, storm water, air quality, waste management, and sustainability initiatives. The Environmental Engineer will partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, contractors, and plant leadership to strengthen compliance, reduce risk, support continuous improvement, and help drive a proactive culture of safety and environmental stewardship.

Primary Responsibilities:

\n

\n

\n
• Lead and support environmental compliance activities related to air emissions, wastewater, storm water, chemical management, waste disposal, recycling, permitting, and regulatory reporting
\n
• Maintain accurate environmental records, reports, permits, and compliance documentation in accordance with federal, state, local, and internal requirements
\n
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports and filings, including air emissions inventories, hazardous waste manifests, SPCC/SWPPP plans, TRI, and Tier II reporting
\n
• Evaluate production, process, equipment, and operational changes to ensure environmental requirements are maintained or improved
\n
• Lead environmental permit reviews and renewals, interface with regulatory agencies, and support timely completion of required filings and inspections
\n
• Conduct internal environmental audits and inspections to identify compliance gaps and drive corrective actions
\n
• Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams, including proper storage, labeling, manifesting, and disposal
\n
• Oversee wastewater pretreatment, storm water management, and spill prevention/response programs
\n
• Drive environmental improvement projects tied to sustainability, waste reduction, water/energy usage reduction, emissions reduction, risk mitigation, and operational performance
\n
• Support broader health and safety programs, including training, employee engagement, hazard reduction, contractor management, and alignment with site EHS goals
\n
• Track and report environmental KPIs and metrics to plant and corporate leadership
\n
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and plant leadership to promote accountability, communication, and a proactive EHS culture across the facility

Required Qualifications:

\n

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution
\n
• 2+ years of environmental experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or similar operating environment
\n
• Experience supporting health and safety programs in addition to environmental compliance activities
\n
• Working knowledge of environmental compliance programs, permitting, reporting, recordkeeping, and regulatory requirements (RCRA, CWA, CAA); TRI and Tier II experience preferred
\n
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply federal, state, and local environmental regulations, with strong communication, documentation, and cross-functional leadership skills
\n
• Familiarity with EHS management systems and environmental management software a plus
\n
