Foster Care Visitation MonitorHelp children and families stay connected during an important time in their lives. Koinonia Family Services is seeking a dependable and compassionate Foster Care Visitation Monitor to supervise visits between foster children and their birth families in Stockton and surrounding San Joaquin County communities.This position is ideal for someone who lives in or near Stockton and wants meaningful, flexible, part-time work. Most visits take place at a county visitation center, with occasional travel to Koinonia's Modesto office. A few hours of approved remote work may also be completed each week for supervision, case documentation, required training, and related duties.Opportunity Highlights:A job with a purpose–help children and families find hope and healingCompensation: $18.00 per hour or higher, depending on experienceBenefits include paid time off (PTO) and participation in our 401k planMileage reimbursement is included for business miles driven.This is a part-time position with approximately 6-10 hours per week starting out with the potential for more hours as more youth are placed in our program. Hours will vary based on assigned clients and will be scheduled as needed, typically during regular business hours.Key Responsibilities:Supervise visits between foster children and their birth families at a county visitation center.Provide transportation for foster children to appointmentsEnsure the visitation area is prepared for visitsDocument each visit and report any noteworthy concernsCommunicate with social workers about the progress of visits, any concerns, or changes in the child or family's situationPerform a variety of office-based administrative duties in between visitsComplete a few hours of work remotely each week, including participating in supervision, entering case notes, and completing required training.Periodically travel to Koinonia's Modesto office for staff meetings and other duties.Qualifications:Must be at least 18 years of ageDependable and reliableGood driving record with a reliable personal vehicleGood references and ability to pass a criminal record background checkExperience working with children and families preferredExcellent observational skills and ability to not get distracted during visitsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsThe ability to establish and maintain effective personal boundaries with children and familiesA high degree of integrity and confidentialityA vehicle that safely accommodates a child car seat.Join Our Team:At Koinonia Family Services, we are committed to creating a supportive, mission-driven workplace where employees feel valued and connected to the work they do. The nature of these responsibilities necessitates the ability to drive to ensure timely, reliable, confidential and effective support for the youth and families we serve.
