FSQA Manager

QA & Food Safety Manager Are you a Quality and Food Safety leader who enjoys building systems, creating structure, and driving positive change? We're looking for a hands-on QA & Food Safety Manager to lead the transformation of our quality department. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a new executive leadership team to establish best-in-class food safety programs, standardize processes, develop SOPs, and build a culture where quality is everyone's responsibility. Responsibilities Lead all Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs across two food manufacturing facilities. Develop, implement, and improve SOPs, HACCP plans, GMP programs, and food safety systems. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality, food safety, and operational excellence. Establish standardized processes and ensure consistency across all shifts and departments. Lead internal audits and prepare the facilities for customer, regulatory, and third-party inspections. Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, OSHA, HACCP, GMP, Kosher, and customer requirements. Manage quality inspections for raw materials, packaging, in-process production, and finished goods. Investigate quality issues, implement corrective actions, and identify opportunities for long-term improvement. Partner closely with Operations, Maintenance, Purchasing, R&D, and leadership to improve product quality and food safety. Oversee sanitation programs, pest control, environmental monitoring, and regulatory documentation. Train, mentor, and develop employees while fostering a proactive culture of food safety and accountability. Build positive relationships throughout the organization and champion a culture of continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Manufacturing, or a related field preferred. 3+ years of leadership experience in food manufacturing quality or food safety. Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, FDA, USDA, OSHA, and food manufacturing regulations. Experience developing or improving food safety systems, SOPs, and quality programs. Excellent leadership, communication, and change management skills. Ability to influence teams and build strong cross-functional relationships. Experience preparing for and leading customer, regulatory, or third-party audits is highly preferred. What We're Looking For We're seeking a buildernot a maintainer.
