Generator Field Technician

divh2Generator Field Technician/h2pThe Electrical Power Generation Field Technician (EPG Field Tech) II is responsible for providing high quality repair service on equipment, in order to respond to customer needs in a positive, caring and timely manner and to ensure maximum value for work performed./ppInspect, diagnose, troubleshoot problems while providing recommendations for those repairs and make all critical machine and engine repairs and adjustments while providing required information to service dispatcher./ppFollow all documented CSA processes and guidelines./ppFollow Caterpillar guidelines when performing engine overhead measurements and adjustments within six weeks of hire date./ppGenerate service reports, required oil samples, and inspections will be completed as service work is performed on the job site and a copy of the paperwork is to be left with the customer./ppGenerate service reports, required oil samples, and inspections will be completed and submitted to dispatchers within 24 48 hours of completing the service job./ppFollow company and customer safety and contamination procedures including MSHA guidelines when in mining applications./ppHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); and/or three to five years related experience and/or training; Preferably AA in Applied Diesel Technology./ppClean driving record and require CDL license within 90days./ppSuccessfully complete Work steps assessment./ppWill be certified prior to operating a forklift and/or man lift./ppComplete certification of arc flash training./ppMust complete all EPG Level I training and/or demonstrated performance./ppNormally we would expect an employee to be at this level for 24 48 months./ppNeed to work required overtime./ppMay be required to pass DOT physical./ppH2s, MSHA and lock-out /tag-out certified as required./ppWe like to take care of business and have fun doing it!/ppWe offer health, dental, vision, life, and more as a comprehensive benefits package./ppDont you want to work with awesome people?/ppWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear.
