Field Service Engineer III

Glaukos – Field Service Engineer (South Central-Remote)
The Field Service Engineer III is a technical expert capable of providing advanced support in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our products in the field. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong technical background and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our customers.
Field Service Operations:
- Conduct on-site installations, maintenance, and repairs of complex systems and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Provide advanced technical support to customers and address inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their technical needs and provide tailored solutions.
Training and Knowledge Transfer:
- Train and mentor junior field service engineers, sharing technical expertise and best practices.
- Develop and deliver training programs for customers to enhance their understanding of our products.
Technical Documentation:
- Create and maintain accurate and detailed technical documentation, including service reports, troubleshooting guides, and installation manuals.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, providing insights and feedback for continuous improvement.
Collaboration with R&D:
- Work closely with the Research and Development team to provide feedback on product performance, contributing to product improvement and innovation.
- Collaborate on the testing and validation of new products before market release.
Continuous Learning:
- Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and product updates.
- Participate in training programs and certifications to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
How will you get here?
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- 5-8 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer, with a focus on advanced technical support.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
