GenReady Inc. is one of the largest Generac dealers on Long Island and we are seeking a Generator Service Technician to join our team! Responsibilities include maintenance and repair of small engines, specifically Generac Home Stand-by Generators.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance
- such as checking and adding oil, replacing oil and air filters, doing valve adjustments and spark plug changes.
- Prepare and Complete accurate work orders for repairs/maintenance
- Estimate time and extent of repairs
- Troubleshooting and diagnostic testing
- Maintain material inventory
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in maintenance or other related fields required
- Previous experience working on residential generators preferred but not required
- Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Prior trade school experience is a plus
- Must have a valid driver's license
