Group Facilitator

Job Description JOB SUMMARY: The Group Facilitator is responsible for the overall preparation and facilitation of quality IPAEP groups. S/he will display and encourage the character traits of honesty, respect, caring and responsibility in the fulfillment of all job duties. Job Functions Program/Department Responsibility: Facilitate IPAEP groups as assigned Ensure that all groups are in compliance with approved curriculum Ensure that all groups are consistent with DPH, and IPAEP standards, policies and procedures Complete client assessments Make necessary referrals to outside agencies or departments as needed Participate in scheduled supervision and other IPAEP meetings as assigned Maintain and file client data and information as assigned Complete monthly client report Supervision of Personnel: None. Fiscal Responsibility: Adhere to all fiscal policies and procedures such as petty cash purchase orders, vouchers and employee expenses as requested. Facility/Housekeeping Responsibility: Ensure that the program areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance. Interdivisional/Community/Volunteer Responsibility Attend IPAEP meetings as assigned Attend the OCC meetings as assigned Actively participate in the Y’s Annual Strong Kid’s campaign

Requirements Education/Experience/Physical Requirements: High school diploma or equivalency required Good oral and written presentation skills Experience working with adults, at-risk populations, or offenders is helpful Computer skills: Word, Excel, Power Point Successful completion of a minimum of 24 hours of DPH-approved IPAEP training Observation of at least 6 hours of IPAEP group sessions from a DPH-approved training program Successful completion of a domestic violence victim service agency training as defined by MGL.
