About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Critical Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour PM-AM Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum years of experience in critical care License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Advanced hemodynamic monitoring - ICP monitoring experience - Experience with ventilated patients - Knowledge of pressors, inotropes, and vasoactive medications - Assist with line insertion and maintenance - Experience with lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients - Knowledge of ventriculostomies, lumbar drains, bolts, and EVD - PA lines and waveform interpretation Description: RN needed for a neuro critical care unit. The unit provides care for patients with ischemic strokes, hemorrhagic strokes, and various neuro surgeries. It is the only neuro critical care unit in the region. The RN will float to surgical intensive care and other critical care units as needed. Required experience includes advanced monitoring and management of complex critical care patients. Candidates must have expertise in managing ventilated patients and administering critical care medications. Experience assisting with procedural line insertions is necessary. Surgical patients may require specialized care involving monitoring and management of various lines and drains.
