Housekeeper Full time, 8am-4:30pm $16.90 - $18 per hour Upland, CA Heritage Court Assisted Living and Generations Healthcare are seeking a Housekeeper to join our team in Upland, CA. Job Summary The primary role of the Housekeeper is to perform the day‑to‑day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator or Director of Housekeeping. The goal is to maintain the facility in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner. Essential Duties Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as possible. Report all accidents and incidents to your supervisor. Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living or recreational areas. Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies. Use safety equipment and supplies (e.g., back brace, mechanical lifts) when lifting or moving heavy objects. Maintain assigned work areas in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner. Keep work and assignment areas free of hazardous objects such as protruding mop or broom handles, unnecessary equipment, and supplies. Use proper techniques when mixing chemicals, disinfectants, and solutions; follow manufacturer’s instructions as necessary. No experience required; on‑the‑job training provided. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism. Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public. Maintain the care and use of supplies and equipment; perform regular inspections of resident rooms and units for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties. Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel and handle residents at various levels of maturity.
