Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) Position Parvin Animal Clinic is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our team and support both outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry. The ideal candidate is versatile and client‑focused, thriving in a dynamic general practice environment while balancing exam room care, client communication, and hands‑on procedural support. Responsibilities Support efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery Assist in surgery Perform dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography Maintain accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation Review treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately Identify patient concerns and support efficient case management across the hospital Build strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service Schedule and Compensation Compensation: $18‑20 per hour for each hour worked Flexible, full‑time position with a 4/10 schedule. Availability needed Monday‑Friday, with every third weekend. Minimum Qualifications and Skill Set 3+ years of veterinary technician experience Active and good‑standing Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in the state of Alabama Proficiency in patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery Surgical assistance and aseptic technique Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement Radiology positioning and safety protocols Laboratory sample collection and in‑house diagnostic testing Accurate medical record documentation Client education and communication Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast‑paced environment Effective teamwork and professional communication skills **Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out‑of‑state license holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply.
