If you are looking for a full-time role within a stable, family-like organization with great benefits, look no further!Medical Assistant Scribe Full-timePosition Summary Stockton Cardiology has a need for experienced Scribes with the training and knowledge of certified Medical Assistants, to fill the role of Scribes by accompanying providers in patient exam rooms to document: the patient dictated history, dictated physical examination findings, results of laboratory and radiologic studies, and procedures as performed by the providers.Join a well-established, independent practice with a long history in the San Joaquin Valley. At the heart of our compassionate, patient-centered practice is a family-like team of hard-working professionals who maintain a stable environment where your expertise is respected and your well-being is a priority.Major Areas of ResponsibilityScribes accompany a provider to a patient exam room to document the patient dictated history, provider dictated physical examination findings, results of laboratory and radiologic studies, and procedures as performed by the provider.Scribes document the accurate timing of all patient care related activities, including provider to provider communication, patient and family communication and re-examinations of the patient.When the physician concludes the patient's encounter, the provider will review all documentation completed by the Scribe, make necessary amendments, and sign the chart. The supervising physician is ultimately responsible for the documentation.Supervision Supervision is provided by the attending physician in the Clinic. In his/her absence, supervision will be provided by another designated by the supervising physician. Standardized procedures, approved by the supervising physician(s) are a mandatory mechanism of supervision.Knowledge and SkillsDemonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to document patient care as dictated by a provider in a clear manner, following all local, state and federal guidelines for documentation.Demonstrate an ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy in accordance with governing HIPAA regulations.Demonstrate organizational ability to maintain and coordinate both electronic and paper records related to patient care for multiple patients at a time.Education and ExperiencePreferred Position Qualifications:College level education including health or medical related courses.Advanced knowledge of medical terminology (either obtained from a medical terminology course, on the job experience, prior scribe experience, etc).Fluent in a foreign language, preferably Spanish, with willingness to obtain translator certification.Minimum Position Qualifications:High school graduate.Future healthcare student – physician, nursing, physician assistant, healthcare administration, etc preferred.Minimum one year availability to work.Ability to multi-task in a high stress, fast paced environment.Basic to intermediate knowledge of medical terminology.Technically Savvy.Licensure / Certification Medical Assistant CertificateCompensation $21-24hr, DOEWe have a comprehensive benefits package, including:Health InsuranceDental Insurance401(k)Paid Time Off10% annual employer contribution to 401k10 Paid Holidays
