In this role, you'll work directly with middle school students, providing inclusion support, IEP services, targeted direct instruction, and collaborating with colleagues to plan effective lessons. Qualifications:

  • Valid MA Special Education (SPED) license, Moderate Disabilities (5-8)
  • Sheltered English Immersion Endorsement required
  • Experience with language-based disabilities and the Wilson Reading Program preferred
  • Reading Specialist certification preferred (not required)
  • Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher at the middle school level

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction and reading intervention in alignment with students’ IEP goals
  • Support inclusion classrooms and provide targeted support for students with language-based needs
  • Plan and co-plan lessons with grade-level and special education colleagues
  • Track student progress and communicate effectively with parents and the educational team
