Senior Manager, Program (Middle School ELA Leadership Coaching) Location: New York, NY Type of Vacancy: Salaried (Full-Time) Start Date: July-August 2026 Reports To: Director, Program Supervises: Manager(s), Program Travel: On-site with some remote work Compensation: $90,500 to $119,381 Areas of Expertise: Leadership Coaching – coaching school or district leaders to maximize time, talent, and curricular resources that support the delivery of high-quality 6-8 ELA instruction. Client Management – managing execution of a partner’s scope of work, coordinating service delivery between team members and external partners through skilled communication, strong organizational skills, time management, and workflow management. About the Department: The Program department’s primary purpose is to design, deliver, and continuously improve teacher professional learning programs that strengthen instructional practice and drive student achievement. The team’s main functions include managing and implementing scopes of work with partners, providing coaching and professional learning for teachers and leaders, and creating research-based content and learning assets tailored to partner needs. About the Role The Senior Program Manager’s primary responsibility is to implement high‑quality programmatic services and manage complex projects that drive impact on educator practice, leader practice, and student learning. The role includes: Designing and facilitating professional learning content, services, and tools/resources Providing direct‑to‑leader instructional coaching in service of improved implementation and student outcomes Serving as a content expert and, when needed, taking on project leadership roles Managing project plans, contracts, and invoices to ensure accurate, timely delivery of services Collaborating across departments and, when applicable, supporting team members through coaching or people management Essential Qualifications Five (5) or more years of combined experience working in PK‑12 education, with a minimum of two years teaching PK‑12 students from traditionally underserved backgrounds Three (3) or more years of experience working with partners outside the organization to manage workflow or deliver services Three (3) or more years of experience planning and implementing projects Two (2) or more years of experience leading or coaching school leaders to implement HQIM Deep knowledge and experience with College- and Career-Ready ELA content and practice standards Experience designing and facilitating professional learning for school leaders Experience managing relationships with clients and stakeholders in an education context Experience teaching or coaching in ELA (various curricula listed) or similar content area Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree Two (2) or more years experience as a school or district leader Experience providing professional learning support and services in consultative organizations Working Conditions and Requirements Flexible schedule may be required Travel required depending on partnership or contract needs Must be able to perform essential duties with or without accommodation Remote work is available, with onsite days as needed Benefits Teaching Lab offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) with employer match, technology and home‑office support, generous paid time off, professional development resources, and dedicated holidays.
