Night Shift Shipping Lead

Schedule

• Monday: 1:00 AM – 11:00 AM

• Wednesday: 1:00 AM – 11:00 AM

• Friday: 1:00 AM – 11:00 AM

• Saturday: 1:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Guaranteed 40 hours per week. Employees scheduled for this position will receive their full scheduled hours each week.

Guaranteed Pay: Employees will be paid for their full scheduled shift and guaranteed weekly hours, even if all assigned work is completed and the shift ends early.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Night Shift Shipping Lead to oversee overnight shipping operations and work alongside delivery drivers to ensure accurate order preparation and distribution. This position offers a consistent overnight schedule with guaranteed weekly hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Unload and receive one semi-truck of bread and bakery products during each shift.

• Break down bulk shipments into individual customer orders accurately and efficiently.

• Work directly with delivery drivers to prepare and stage orders for route distribution.

• Verify product quantities and ensure order accuracy.

• Track, document, and report product shortages, inventory discrepancies, and damaged goods.

• Communicate shortages promptly to management, drivers, and sales personnel.

• Maintain records of inventory shortages and recurring product issues.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

• Communicate effectively with drivers, sales representatives, and management regarding inventory, order discrepancies, and operational needs.

• Assist in resolving shipping and distribution issues as they arise.

• Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times.

• In rare situations, operate a 16-foot box truck as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Ability to work independently and lead by example during overnight operations.

• Capable of lifting, moving, and handling bakery products throughout the shift.

• Previous warehouse, shipping, logistics, route distribution, or inventory control experience preferred.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.

• Ability to operate a 16-foot box truck or willingness to be trained.
