Perfusionist ProfessionPerfusionist Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday through Friday with call rotation one night per week and every other or every third weekend Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent related work experience License: Not required Certifications: Active BLS - AHA Must-Have: - Minimum of two years of experience - Ability to take call - Willingness to work with a team of 3 surgeons and 4 perfusionists - Evidence of clinical activity - 40 encounters in the last 12 months Description: Provide perfusion support for both on-pump and off-pump CABG cases, and valve replacement surgeries. TAVR support is required for adults only. Equipment utilized includes EPIC for electronic patient records and Viper system for documentation. Spectrum pumps will be used in the unit. The first case starts in the operating room on weekdays at 7:30 AM. Clinicians must badge in and out of the facility and adhere to departmental protocols. Scrub color will be provided. Work will occur in 2 operating rooms with access to a robotic room. All TAVRs are performed in a hybrid cath lab setting. Orientation will include 1:1 training with a perfusionist. Travelers may float to over units if they are qualified for HIPEC.
