A growing construction company in Santa Ana is seeking a hands‑on Construction Controller to oversee the company's accounting operations while managing the day‑to‑day administrative and HR functions of the office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has worked as a Construction Office Manager, Accounting Manager, or Controller in the construction industry and enjoys wearing multiple hats. We are looking for someone who thrives in a small business environment and enjoys taking ownership of the entire back office. Responsibilities Manage all accounting operations from start to finish Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, billing, and collections Perform month‑end close and financial reporting Process construction billings and customer invoicing Manage job costing, job tracking, and project financial reporting Set up new projects and maintain accurate project records Prepare and manage preliminary notices (Prelims) Maintain contractor licenses, city licenses, and compliance documentation Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate project costing Process payroll and maintain employee records Coordinate new hire onboarding and HR administration Support day‑to‑day office operations and help improve internal processes Qualifications Construction industry accounting experience is required Strong understanding of job costing and project accounting Experience with billing, collections, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and month‑end close Knowledge of preliminary notices, contractor licensing, and construction documentation Experience supporting HR functions including onboarding and personnel administration Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required with relevant experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
