Job Description Equipment Management *Check treatment rooms for cleanliness: make necessary changes *Check and turn on treatment room equipment in morning *Gather and review patient charts for the day *Confirm that all lab cases are in for patients scheduled for the next working day *Accurately prepare trays for treatment according to each patient's file *Set up treatment room for each patient *Clean treatment rooms after each visit according to OSHA standards *Presoak soiled instruments and place them in an ultrasonic cleaner tank *Package and load instruments into proper sterilizer *Store instruments in appropriately labeled places *Mix required cleaning solutions and keep them fresh daily *Clean sterilizers and ultrasonic tanks according to the manufacturer recommendations *Clean up treatment rooms at the end of the day *Turn off equipment *Check patient charts and laboratory work orders at the end of the day to make sure that everything is submitted promptly *Maintain a supply inventory for treatment rooms and laboratory *Inform dentist of needed supplies and order as indicated Patient Management *Escort patients into treatment rooms and make them comfortable *Prepare patients for treatment; explain scheduled treatments to patients *Communicate with patients in a clear and professional manner *Continually check on patient comfort during *Avoid leaving patients unattended *Hand dental instruments to dentist in an accurate and timely manner *Prepare necessary treatment materials in an accurate and timely manner *Take radiographs *Take accurate notes on the provided treatment *Call and check on post-operative patients *Provide post-treatment instructions and materials to patients *Escort patients to the front lobby after visits Laboratory Duties *Pour and trim models, bleaching stents and do repairs *Mail and check on your cases Clerical Duties *Assist front admin or office manager with telephone, charting and filing as needed Benefits Employee discount Paid time off Retirement plan Uniform allowance Jobley Bonus: $45 (awarded to candidates hired through Jobley) Shift & Schedule -Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday -6:30am to 4:00pm with lunch 12-1 -7 paid holidays About the Practice Name: Detour Dental Location: 25 Southlake Drive, Union Hall, VA 24176
