Hybrid | San Francisco, CA or New York, NY

Base Salary: $200,000–$275,000 + Performance Bonus + Significant Equity

Our client, Moritz , an AI-native legal services company backed by Y Combinator, 20VC, and leading technology founders, is seeking an experienced Commercial Technology & Partnerships Counsel to help build the future of legal services.

This is an opportunity to join one of the fastest-growing companies in legal technology and play a key role supporting high-value technology partnerships at scale.

What You’ll Do

• Lead commercial contract negotiations for strategic technology partnerships
• Draft, negotiate, and manage high-volume commercial agreements
• Structure reseller, channel partner, and cloud partnership agreements
• Develop scalable contract playbooks and commercial legal frameworks
• Advise on intellectual property, licensing, data rights, and commercial risk
• Collaborate with business leaders to support rapid company growth
• Help optimize legal operations across a growing commercial team

Required Qualifications

✔ 6–10 years of commercial transactions experience

✔ Extensive experience negotiating:

• Commercial Agreements
• Master Service Agreements (MSAs)
• Technology Contracts
• Contract Playbooks

✔ Prior experience at:

• BigLaw OR
• A prestigious in-house technology company (FAANG, Oracle, Accenture, Capgemini, or similar)

✔ Deep experience with cloud providers or their partner ecosystems, including:

• AWS
• Microsoft Azure
• Google Cloud
• Oracle Cloud
• IBM Cloud

✔ Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

✔ Demonstrated success handling high-volume commercial transactions—not just a handful of large deals, but building scalable contracting frameworks

✔ Located in (or willing to relocate to) San Francisco or New York after an initial remote onboarding period.

Preferred

• Significant experience with cloud technology partnerships
• Expertise in reseller and channel partner programs
• Strong understanding of AI-enabled technology businesses
• Experience creating scalable commercial contracting processes

Compensation

• Base Salary: $200,000–$275,000
