This unique opportunity is 5 AM - 5 PM and will be scheduled 5 AM - 5 PM Sunday/Friday/Saturday. Although this team will be scheduled for 36 hours a week, employees on this team will be paid for a full 40 hours. There is also still opportunity for overtime./ph3Position Scope/h3pThe Material Handler is responsible for moving aluminum castings, scrap hoppers, packaging, WIP castings and finished goods throughout the plant, as required. Material Handlers are accountable to keep all areas organized and clean./ph3Essential Duties and Responsibilities/h3ulliKeep production workstations stocked with material needed to produce./liliDetects and reports improper conditions or operations of forklift and requests maintenance as appropriate./liliEnsure all materials are kept in their designated storage area./liliReport any concerns regarding the organization of areas to your immediate supervisor./liliFollows instructions from supervisor to adapt to any short-term requirements./liliLoad and unload trailers and trucks as required./liliProperly completes daily paperwork./liliMaintain clean and orderly work area consistent with safety and work rules and regulations./liliWork safely around and/or while operating heavy equipment or manufacturing machinery./liliRegularly report for work on time with a desire to perform to the best of your abilities./liliComply with all company employment policies, procedures/processes, and programs./liliPerforms duties in compliance with quality, as well as safety policies, procedures/processes, and programs./liliParticipate in continuous improvement activities./liliMaintain an active MIOSHA Forklift Operators Permit issued by CDCG./liliBuild positive relationships and work cooperatively with associates in a team environment./liliModels and exemplifies Companies Core Values./liliWorks required schedule based on business demands./liliCommunicate with Associates and between shifts on daily activities./liliCommunicate and exchange problem areas with supervisors and fellow coworkers./liliAssists unloading finished goods boxes from conveyors to optimize operators productivity/liliOther duties are assigned from time-to-time./li/ulh3Job Specifications/h3pTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential and additional duty and responsibility satisfactorily.
