Maintenance Technician I

Alpha, NJ, United States | req33024 Work Schedule: 1st Shift What you will enjoy doing* Thisrole will require you to perform visual and physical inspections on cylindersbefore filling to determine whether retesting or repairs are required You will conduct cylinder conversions, including de-valving, valving,stripping, and repairing valves Operate hydrostatic and ultrasonic cylinder testers Maintain required certifications to properly certify cylinders asretested Operate a forklift to supportmaterial handling and movement of cylinders Receive incoming cylinders, valves, and cylinder maintenance supplies;diagnose and repair cylinder neck leaks and safety-related leaks You will nspect and identify defective cylinders, scrapping cylinders whenappropriate Responsible for performing painting, housekeeping, and light plantmaintenance tasks to maintain a clen and safe work environment What makes you great Youmust have a high school diploma or GED Experience in the gas industry or cylinder maintenance is preferred You are able to lift and handle up to 40 - 70 lbs. as needed You are mechanically inclined with a strong, self-motivated work ethic Why you will love working with us Linde is a leading global industrial gases and engineering company with 2025 sales of $34 billion.
