Job Title RN Associate Director for Outpatient Infusion Location Gilbert, Arizona Department Amb Care-Gilbert Shift Day (Monday‑Friday, 7 am‑6 pm, occasional weekend shift) Job Category Nursing Position Summary Provide managerial and clinical support to patients and staff. Use depth and breadth of clinical management knowledge to ensure provision of high‑quality, safe, and cost‑effective patient care. Demonstrate clinical expertise and oversee leadership of clinical, financial, and personnel management of assigned areas. Responsibilities Manage and facilitate patient‑centered nursing care for designated populations, acting as a real‑time clinical expert for unit staff and physicians to resolve escalated issues in patients, processes, and family matters. Manage operations to ensure smooth patient care and efficient resource utilization. Lead change by developing, implementing, and evaluating quality and process improvement initiatives in collaboration with the director; seek staff input and oversee change implementation; ensure regulatory compliance. Facilitate communication of system, regional, facility, and department initiatives. Manage and develop operational and capital budgets and use of associated resources. Ensure the development of staff leadership through effective shared‑leadership models and support career advancement opportunities; act as a role model and encourage staff participation in their own development. Oversee selection, orientation, onboarding, and retention; demonstrate leadership through coaching, performance evaluation, corrective action, and development opportunities to create a culture of learning. Manage one or more clinical units to ensure excellent patient care; actively develop entry‑level nurse manager(s) while leading clinical improvement initiatives; internal customers include patients, staff, and physicians; external customers include patient families. Minimum Qualifications BSN or MSN required for all new hires; BSN required for internal transfers/promotions within 6 months. Current RN license in the state of practice and BLS certification. Strong knowledge and understanding of clinical care management demonstrated through at least two years of clinical management experience relevant to the patient population. Demonstrated knowledge and skills of the specialty area; critical thinking, communication, influence, decision‑making, analytical, and flexibility skills to make optimal decisions. Ability to practice skills according to departmental and professional standards and quality requirements. For LTC settings: familiarity with Alzheimer’s disease and developmental disabilities. Employees working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital, BTMC Behavioral or BUMG/BUMCT in a behavioral health clinical setting that serves children must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at hire and maintain it; an Arizona Criminal History Affidavit must be signed upon hire. Employees at BUMCS in a behavioral health setting must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at hire and maintain it. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in nursing preferred.
