The work we do building families offers purpose, challenge, and personal reward—and we're just getting started.Opportunity OverviewWe have an immediate opening for a Senior Accountant to join our team at US Fertility working a hybrid schedule including two to three days per week in our Rockville, Maryland office.Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PMCompensation: $95,000 to $100,000 per year (commensurate with experience)This role provides the opportunity to grow within a nationally respected organization while remaining closely connected to the patients and teams you support every day.How You'll ContributeAt US Fertility, collaboration is fundamental to how we work. Whether collaborating with more than 200 highly respected physicians nationwide or partnering with colleagues who are passionate about solving meaningful problems, you'll be surrounded by a team committed to shared success.In this role, the Senior Accountant will:Own the monthly close process for an assigned portfolio of practices or entities, including preparation of journal entries, supporting schedules, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.Analyze revenue and accounts receivable activity, independently research unusual trends, reconciling items, timing, or posting differences, and prepare or recommend appropriate corrective entries.Maintain and reconcile revenue-related balances, including accrued, deferred, unapplied, unbilled, bad debt and AR reserve activity, as applicable.Develop a strong understanding of assigned practices and proactively identify and investigate transactions, balances, or financial results that do not align with expectations.Serve as the accounting owner for assigned practices, partnering with operational, revenue cycle, and finance teams to research and resolve accounting issues with a high degree of independence.Maintain the accurate and timely dissemination of financial statements and reportsSupport and facilitate external auditOversee accounts payable operationsReconcile and review General Ledger accounts to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with GAAPReview corporate prepared financial statements for accuracy and prepare month end journal entriesReview and prepare bank reconciliationsEstablish and maintain systems and internal controlsParticipate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reportsProvide financial support to management and multiple departmentsReview payroll processingMaintain and protect operations by keeping all pertinent information confidentialManage financial close cycle and variance analysisOversee accounts payableParticipate in department budget preparation and complianceParticipate in internal and external auditsWhat You'll BringWe're looking for professionals who bring both technical skill and a deep sense of responsibility to the care experience—individuals who thrive in environments where excellence, empathy, and accountability matter.Qualifications and Skills Include:Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance3 to 5 years of experience in accounting and financeHealthcare experience preferredCPA preferredMore important than any single credential, however, is the right person.
