Anesthesia Technician Travel Job Details

• Location: Seattle, Washington
• Setting: Hospital operating room and surgical services
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,080–$1,160
• Schedule: Five 8-hour shifts, 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., or four 10-hour shifts, 11:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m.
• Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• End Date: January 18, 2027
• Additional Scheduling: Weekend coverage may be needed; call coverage is unlikely but may be required based on department needs
• Floating: May float to a nearby affiliated surgical services location

Anesthesia Technician Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of anesthesia technician experience in a hospital or operating room setting
• Previous travel assignment experience required
• Current BLS certification
• Valid Washington State or compact license, as applicable, in hand at submission
• Experience supporting anesthesia services for neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Proficiency with Epic or another electronic health record system
• Strong knowledge of operating room safety, infection prevention, aseptic technique, and universal protocol
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative surgical environment

Anesthesia Technician Responsibilities

• Prepare anesthesia workstations, equipment, supplies, medications, IV solutions, pumps, and tubing for surgical procedures
• Perform anesthesia machine checks, troubleshooting, and routine equipment readiness activities
• Assist anesthesia providers during routine and critical situations, including airway and emergency procedures
• Set up and maintain breathing circuits, airway equipment, laryngoscopes, endotracheal tubes, LMAs, standard monitors, and rapid infusers
• Support vascular access, arterial line, central venous access, and blood collection activities within the scope of practice
• Assist with patient positioning, transport, room turnover, and first-case room preparation
• Support surgical services across general, orthopedic, cardiovascular, thoracic, neurological, vascular, gynecological, pediatric, regional, and robotic procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation and specimen handling while following radiation, laser, electrical, fire, and infection-control safety standards
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care
