Safety Associate- PRN

Safety Associate- PRN – Carroll Lutheran Village - a Lutheran Social Ministries of Maryland Community We are always looking for "as needed" safety associates at Carroll Lutheran Village. Pay Range: $16.00/hr - $22.66/hr Job Responsibilities Check in with previous guard, review assignments and log book at beginning of shift Check and lock doors at assigned times Inspect and maintain vehicles Respond to emergencies, e.g., fire, emergency response system and assist nursing personnel as directed Follow emergency call lists; help direct emergency vehicles if necessary Document and check mechanical equipment operation, gauges and controls Check for any unsafe conditions and repair or report to Facilities Management Check all equipment to make sure it is properly turned off During snowstorms, help keep ice and snow away from emergency exit Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of maintenance and Grounds Hourly Wage will be based on candidate qualifications including relevant years of experience and certifications/education. Qualifications High School Diploma, or GED Excellent communication skills Professional and Friendly demeanor Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Team Player Valid CPR Certification a plus, but willing to provide training to certify Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors and government agencies/personnel Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift up to 50lbs May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations We offer competitive wages and weekend shift differentials!
