Openings as of 6/2/2026 - Marshall County Schools Speech Team Advisor JobID: 64716 Position Type: Contract/Hourly Employment/ Extra Curricular - All Personnel Date Posted: 5/28/2026 Location: John Marshall High School County: Marshall County Schools POSITION 26A145 TITLE: Speech Club Advisor LOCATION: John Marshall High QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred professional educator employed by the Marshall County Board of Education at John Marshall High DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Organize and execute a drama program that will promote school pride Attempt to integrate the drama program with the total school program Promote positive public relations regarding the school's extracurricular programs Abide by the county, state, and federal rules and regulations when applicable Accept responsibility for the behavior and welfare of his/her performing group during rehearsals, staged productions, and/or contests Accept responsibility for the use of practice and/or performance area and its accompanying facilities/equipment Provide leadership and instruction in the preparation of theatrical productions a minimum of twice yearly Provide leadership and support in the areas of dramatic arts Maintain professional work habits Strive to create a diversified, yearly drama program that emphasizes, but is not limited to, student work in set construction, costuming, make-up, lighting, sound, publicity, and/or properties Assist in maintaining accurate financial records under the auspices of the designated school financial office Maintain and upgrade his/her professional skills Encourage students in the extracurricular drama program to attend any school offered field based experiences in the theater arts Recruit students to participate in the drama club Perform all other duties as assigned by school principal APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: All postings must be submitted electronically through the program called Applitrack.
