Night shift, 7:30 PM to 7:00 AM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. The focus on safety and quality care is paramount, embodying the core values of an organized healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to formulate individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to patient diagnoses by collaborating with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide timely patient information for Team Conferences and ensure accurate documentation of assessments and interventions.
• Participate actively in the patient rehabilitation program and ensure direct care according to the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status with care providers to support continuity and safety of care.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff.
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested following the orientation period.
• Engage in professional development through continuing education and self-study.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
