Emergency Room Registered Nurse

TotalCare Emergency Room at Fort Worth - West 7th is seeking a Full Time ER Registered Nurse for day shifts. The Registered Nurse provides and coordinates patient care, evaluates changes in patient health, and provides education to patients and their families in an emergency care setting. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in accordance with the Texas Nurse Practice Act Assess and reassess patient condition in a timely manner Document observations, plan of care and patient outcomes accurately and timely Administer medications and IV therapy as ordered by provider Maintain established departmental policies and procedures related to quality assurance and safety Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions Maintain a safe and clean working environment Participate in quality improvement activities Respond to emergency situations and initiate appropriate interventions Requirements Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Current RN license in the State of Texas Current BLS and ACLS certifications PALS certification preferred Minimum 1 year of ER or acute care experience preferred Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
