About the Position
- Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments.
- Triage patients and prioritize care based on acuity.
- Administer medications, IVs, and prescribed treatments.
- Monitor vital signs and patient conditions.
- Respond quickly to emergencies and changes in patient status.
- Assist with procedures, including wound care and emergency interventions.
- Document patient care accurately in the EMR.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide patient and family education and emotional support.
- Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety protocols.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of ER experience
- Emergency Room/Critical Access Hospital experience
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- TNCC
- Active nursing license required upon acceptance
- Agency professionals must attend quarterly department education sessions
