About the Position

Registered Nurse – CVICU

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a mixed ICU environment with a primary focus on cardiovascular intensive care (CVICU)
• Admit and manage patients coming directly from the operating room
• Monitor and manage critically ill cardiac patients, ensuring adherence to evidence-based protocols
• Accept overflow patients from other ICU areas as census and staffing needs require
• Float within the facility within scope of practice as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of total RN experience, with at least 2 years as a staff CVICU nurse
• Must be a cardiac-trained RN with demonstrated ability to admit patients directly from the OR
• Valid Maryland RN license or Compact license required at time of submission
• Active ACLS certification required
• Active BLS certification required
• Active NIHSS certification required
• Active CALS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-acuity mixed ICU setting
• Familiarity with travel nursing compliance requirements and virtual onboarding modules
